My most ambitious game yet! unfortunately, it might've been a bit too ambitious, because I barely finished in time. haha.

The initial plan was for it to be a "sci-fi object appearing in a fantasy world", but I had forgotten that I'm not very good at making environments.

Instead, I decided to make it be "fantasy girl appearing in sci-fi computer world thingy" because computer cubes are way easier to make than trees. I've been thinking of replaying NieR: Automata, so I ended up basing it off of the hacking sections. Visually, that is.

I wanted the boss to be a bit more complex, but see, the problem is I think I spent about 8 of the 14 days making the player model. I'm happy with how she turned out- I've never messed with eye topology or shape keys before, but I'd say those turned out nicely enough.

Anyways, I did all the models, music, and programming myself- reusing some base player code from an older projects and tweaking it a fair bit.

I used some creative common sound effects in addition to VFXR, and used the Kenney.nl input prompt graphics.

A lot of the shader code was adapted from others on https://godotshaders.com/, but I want to include a link to this video, which includes the "glitch effect" I used: https://youtu.be/SS99LOzBCM4?si=N1RqV9qJn1n_9HmV

That being said, I'm decently happy with how it turned out. It is now time for me to eat some -I'd say well deserved- Iced cream. ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿคค๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ ๐Ÿ—ฃ๐Ÿ—ฃ๐Ÿ”Š๐Ÿ„๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฎโ—โ—

Oh yeah, I'll add this cause some jams like to have it- Software used:

Godot, Blender, Krita, FL Studio, Audacity, VFXR, GIMP
